Marriott International cooks up 1 baht offer

A good breakfast is not just the best way to start your day but also the healthiest way to celebrate your life.

Gourmet morning menus, such as eggs Benedict and pancakes, are now social media darlings. Breakfast restaurants have become a favourite spot — especially for cosmopolitan diners — to check in.

Following the popular gastronomic trend, Marriott International has launched a new campaign to make a sumptuous full-steam breakfast more affordable and convenient for the public to indulge.

Dubbed “Bangkok Breakfast Club”, the programme, which runs throughout September and October, allows two diners to enjoy the meal at any of Marriott’s participating hotel restaurants in Bangkok with the second guest to pay just 1 baht.

Twelve restaurants across the city are participating include Rain Tree Cafe at the Athenee; Siam Tea Room at Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park; The Lobby Lounge at Marriott The Surawongs; 57th Street at Marriott Sukhumvit; Café at JW Marriott; Crave at Aloft Bangkok; Giorgio’s at Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers; Flavors at Renaissance Ratchaprasong; Viu at the St. Regis; Bistro M at Sukhumvit Park; Seasonal Tastes at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit; and the Kitchen Table at W Bangkok.

At each restaurant, expect to find a selection of à la carte dishes, breakfast set menus or a buffet. Highlighted offerings include Thai yellow curry crab omelette, showcasing Thai crabmeat at JW Café; cured wild salmon with truffle poached eggs and Chiang Mai avocado salsa at the Rain Tree Cafe; croque sandwich with phad kaphrao filling and melted cheese at Flavors; and Japanese breakfast set with grilled salmon at 57th Street.

Toasted butter brioche with pandan custard cream.

For more health-conscious options, there are for example avocado toast with pistachio pesto and poached egg on crusty multi-grain bread at Seasonal Tastes; poached organic egg and seasonal vegetables with Green Goddess sauce at Viu; and granola bowl with berries, mixed nuts and house-made low fat yoghurt at Bistro M.

To give your morning a luscious sweet dash, khanom pang sangkhaya, or toasted buttered brioche with creamy pandan custard and fresh young coconut, at Siam Tea Room; Tokyo pancake at Crave; and a waffle stack at the Kitchen Table are recommended.

Dishes are served alongside premium coffee and tea, fresh-squeezed juices and baskets of warm bread.

Prices and offers vary upon restaurant. The prices start from 253 baht for an à la carte dish, 333 baht for breakfast set and 350 baht for buffet, with the second diner to pay just 1 baht. Check the restaurants for more details.

The Breakfast Club offer is available only to Marriott Bonvoy members. Membership is free and can be applied online or at the restaurants.
