Summer is officially over and fall’s cool weather is here, but patio season isn’t done yet.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect Wisconsin, bars and restaurants around Milwaukee have heated up their patios to keep outdoor seating a safer and more viable option longer.

Historic cocktail lounge At Random renovated two years ago. Its patio has been updated with outdoor heaters.
At Random is open from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. Fridays, noon to 11 p.m. Saturdays, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Bonobo American Bistro
4518 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood (414) 964-4663
This Shorewood restaurant focuses on healthy plates. It has outdoor dining on its patio with heaters.
It is open 4 to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Sunday brunch with a Bloody Mary bar, and dinner 3:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Ca’Lucchenzo is an Italian pasta restaurant with heaters placed around tables to keep diners warm.
It is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.
Harp Irish Pub

This downtown Irish bar has a heated patio that overlooks the Milwaukee River.
Harp Irish Pub is open from 4 p.m. to bar close Tuesday through Friday, and noon to bar close Saturdays and Sundays.
La Terrazza at Ristorante Bartolotta

This gourmet restaurant added a patio this year that now has heaters and blankets to stay warm for outdoor dining.
La Terrazza is open for lunch, noon to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and dinner, 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday to Friday.

This neighborhood sports bar has a patio larger than its inside area. It has heaters throughout to keep customers warm.
Liquid Johnny’s is open 2 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to bar close Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to midnight on Sundays.
Mason Street Grill

This fine dining place near Cathedral Square added heaters and table fireplaces to its patio dining area.
Mason Street Grill is open from 4 to 9 p.m. daily.

This downtown spot has a large, heated outdoor bar. It also has a giant fire pit people can sit around to keep warm.
McGillycuddy’s is open 11 a.m. to bar close daily.
Oak Barrel Public House

The sidewalk patio at Oak Barrel got heaters this year so customers can stay warm year round.
Oak Barrel Public House is open 4 p.m. to bar close Mondays and Tuesday, and 11 a.m. to bar close Wednesday through Sunday.
Pufferfish at Lost Whale

This outdoor Tiki bar that just popped up this summer is extending its season with four large fireplaces in its covered patio.
It is open from 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Steny’s is a sports pub with a walled-in back patio that is heated during cooler weather.
It is open 11 a.m. to midnight daily.
Stubby’s Gastrogrub & Beer Bar

This place on the east side has a patio that overlooks the Milwaukee River. Heaters were recently installed to keep the patio open longer.
Stubby’s Gastrogrub & Beer Bar is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
The Neighborhood Draft MKE

This place with a heated patio offers snacks and taps.
The Neighborhood Draft MKE is open from 3 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight Fridays, noon to midnight on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
The Tin Widow

This Walker’s Point craft cocktail bar is adding heaters to its patio. It will also continue to host its annual “Miracle on 2nd Street” pop-up Christmas bar.
It is open from 7 p.m. to bar close daily.
Trinity Three Irish Pubs

This downtown late-night bar has a heated outdoor bar, with other heaters throughout the patio to distance and stay warm.
Trinity Three Irish Pubs is open 8 p.m. to bar close Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 7 p.m. to bar close Friday through Sunday.
Waterbird at Odd Duck
2352 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., (414) 763-5881
This outdoor, fine-dining space has heaters for eight tables outside. Call the number to make reservations, which are required.
It is open Thursdays through Saturdays by reservation.
