Ticket are available for the New Canaan Rotary Club’s 35th annual Lobsterfest to be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16 and 17, from 4-8 p.m. Lobsterfest is the club’s main fundraiser to provide grants to local non-profits.

In all, over $40,000 was donated this year to more than 30 non-profits serving New Canaan and surrounding communities. Grants provide funding for food, PPE, and social services needed to meet the challenges of local families during the pandemic.

In recognition of first responders, Rotary has arranged for people to show their appreciation by donating a dinner to a first responder. To do so, go to https://www.newcanaanrotarylobsterfest.org, click on “Menu/Tickets,” then click “Buy a dinner for a local first responder.”

Lobsterfest community sponsors are Benchmark IT; Hobbs, Inc; HTG Investment Advisors; Karl Chevrolet; Lampert, Toohey, & Rucci, LLC, Attorneys at Law; Reynolds & Rowella, Accounting & Consulting; Rucci Law Group; Santella Electric; and Walter Stewart’s Market/Stewart’s Wine & Spirits. Food partners are Fjord Fish Market, Walter Stewart’s Market and Stewart’s Wine & Spirits. Media partners are the New Canaan Advertiser and NewCanaanite.com. The SLOBs, (Service League of Boys), are volunteer partners.

All orders must be completed online at http://www.newcanaanrotarylobsterfest.org by Wednesday, Oct. 13. This year’s steamed lobster and new grilled salmon dinners and fried chicken dinners will be available via curbside pick up at the Waveny Pool Pavilion to be eaten at home. Home delivery can be arranged for orders of 8 or more.
