Plush Lounge, a new club and bistro in downtown Beaumont, has opened for parties and weekend nights on the town.
The upscale lounge concept held a grand opening the weekend of Sept. 18 at 650 Orleans Street, across from the Jefferson Theatre.
Plush Lounge features DJs and live bands each weekend and an expansive patio that looks into the heart of downtown. It also books cabanas and VIP sections through the lounge for parties.
The lounge has been in development since the early spring, but was delayed due to the pandemic and an executive order closing bars and nightclubs. It has been able to open thanks to some food service partnerships and some adaption.
Plush is the latest project from Aldrick Henry, who expanded his seafood joint Crustaceans Boil House from a gas station downtown to a new location at The Silos strip center last year.
Plush Lounge has a dress code and offers memberships for a premium cigar and wine club.
The new Exxon gas station on the corner of Delaware Street and North Major Drive is now open and the center is still expanding.
The station was opened under the Maverick convenience store brand, which is mostly concentrated in the Midwest and western United States.
The store was originally registered under the name 7-Major and is owned by a similarly named limited liability corporation.
Along with the store, the new strip center attached to it has space for at least three storefronts, one of which already has signage for a new nail salon and spa.
