Wild Common remains closed due to COVID-19, but the Spring Street restaurant will reopen this Friday and Saturday for its second annual truffle weekend. Executive chef Orlando Pagan will serve a five-course prix-fixe meal with the option to add wine pairings.

“When I was on the west coast, every year we used to do a truffle dinner,” Pagan said. “I think truffles are something that catches people, and this is a good time to give people an excuse to dress up and go to dinner.”

The menu features snacks, two appetizers, an entree and dessert, with each course incorporating truffles. Look for options like truffle butter poached diver scallops with black truffle ravioletti, a truffle salt baked ribeye and a dark chocolate and black truffle parfait.

“I love the pairing of chocolate and black truffles,” Pagan said. “They have this earthy aroma and I think it compliments really well.”

In addition to truffle weekend, Wild Common is opening its doors for private dinners at its chef’s table Tuesday through Sunday. Each night, the restaurant can accommodate two seatings of up to 10 guests.
